The Tunnel of Love is apart of a private railway track near the small Ukrainian town of Kleven. The surrounding archways of the train tracks have naturally transformed themselves into a romantic paradise for couples and local photographers. The track, which is known locally as The Tunnel of Love, is because of it’s huge canopy of trees growing over either side to form an archway/tunnel. The Tunnel of Love manages to stretch for up to three kilometers in length.
The railway track is not completely out of use, the tracks are a part of a private railway serving a fiberboard factory in eastern Ukraine near the town of Kleven. The train carrying logs chugs along the tunnel at least twice a day, which has been preventing the trees from growing in the middle of the track and allowing the tunnel to remain as it has throughout the year. The tunnel of trees is so dense it is difficult to see outside from within the structure and the natural light that penetrates the canopy from above makes the space soothingly dark.
